Speed Academy

Since its successful start in 2004, Deutsche Post's Speed Academy has grown to become an institution for sponsoring the up and coming talents of German motor racing. In this year's fifth follow-up, six sponsor candidates will be assessed in a contest of several rounds to prepare them for their further racing careers.

This year, the Speed Academy will again present an interesting and high level team of drivers. Last year's Formula BMW Europe runner-up and now Formula 3 Euro driver, Marco Wittmann, joins the Speed Academy for the third time.

This year's Speed Academy candidates also include Nico Marvin Monien as well as David Mengesdorf , Daniel Abt, Heiko Hammel and Christopher Mies.

Besides racing, the talents can also expect a special test in which they have to demonstrate their motor sporting potential on as well as off the race track to the jury. The jury includes motor sport legend, Hans-Joachim Stuck and the well-known German Formula 1 driver, Timo Glock, whose own career has taken him to the highest racing league level with support from Deutsche Post.
