RSS newsfeeds and podcasts - news in real time
With the RSS newsfeeds of Deutsche Post DHL, you can find out immediately when new press releases are published at dp-dhl.com - live and in real time. Or you can download the latest news of the Group as a podcast (MP3).
What is RSS?
It couldn't be easier: RSS (= "Really Simple Syndication") is a format with which you can quickly and effectively check websites for new content without having to visit them directly. This will keep you up to date on all of the current news, even if the website is not open in your browser.
Here's how it works:
All you need to read the RSS newsfeed is what is known as an RSS newsreader. A large number of newsreaders have been developed for all current operating systems. Many of these products can be downloaded free-of-charge from the Internet. You can find further information about using an RSS feed and a selection of RSS readers at www.whatisrss.com.
Usage is simple and often similar to that of an e-mail program. The newsreader shows the overview of each new news item. You can then access the full text of the chosen news item with a simple mouse click.
If you have installed an RSS newsreader on your computer, simply copy the following RSS link with the right mouse-button and paste it into your RSS newsreader. Now you are ready to go.
What is podcasting?
Based on the RSS newsfeeds you can download the latest press releases as audio MP3 files and listen to it via smartphone or iPod at home or en route. You can find more information about using podcasts and how to get podcast - mostly free - software at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast.
