We at Deutsche Post have been satisfying customers for years with our sweeping range of services. In the area of mail, we are Europe's leading service provider. From traditional stamps to the new PC franking and IT franking, we can ensure that large shipments of mail are processed. In the area of direct marketing, we are the market leader in Germany.
An overview of our business areas
We transport more than 72 million letters every day for private and business customers, and have become synonymous with successful, environmentally conscious services involving the transport of letters, magazines and newspapers. From a standard letter to product shipments, from such supplementary services as COD and registered letters to innovative online-based franking options and comprehensive dialogue-marketing solutions – we satisfy customers in all areas.
We transport more than 2.3 million parcels every day for private and business customers. In the process, we pursue one goal: to make the fastest possible delivery to the parcel's destination. How do we accomplish this? With nearly 10,000 parcel couriers, about 7,000 vehicles and more than 7,000 employees in our parcel centers. We also have more than 13,500 retail outlets, 1,400 Packstations and 1,000 parcel boxes – a readily accessible, Germany-wide network on which our customers can rely! We also satisfy them by providing customized transport solutions and comprehensive services, beginning with easy-to-use shipping logistics systems, online franking and track-and-trace parcel monitoring options.
With Global Mail, we offer a one-stop shop for all international mail services. We currently operate offices and production sites on four continents with direct connections to more than 200 countries. In addition to the cross-border mail business, we are increasingly focusing on national services and in foreign markets and are further expanding our added-value service involving mail.
