Work-Life-balance
We want our employees to feel at home in our company. For this reason, we have also thought about their families.
One of our contributions to family support is our flexible work-schedule modules. This makes it easier for them to coordinate their professional and personal needs.
But we offer you and your families more than this: Our recreation program provides budget vacations for employees, including to exotic destinations. Families are particularly wanted, and children are warmly welcome at our vacation facilities. Other family-friendly programs offered by family service are special regulations governing people returning to work after parental leave and the "Youth Exchange Program".
More options
Work-life balance is closely associated with the right type of child care. The right type of child care for an employee’s individual job and family situation is the critical question. Deutsche Post DHL supports employees here by offering extensive family services.
The Family Service provides the following assistance and helps, among other things, with the search for:
- Long-term child care (in part with the company’s own facilities)
- Temporary care
- Care during special situations and emergencies
- Vacation programs
The Group continuously expands the range of services to provide support to employees as needed.
Deutsche Post DHL helps all employees get back to work after taking a family-related timeout. To make this return to the job as simple as possible, we will offer you the opportunity to do such things as attend information events or further training while you are still on leave. It is also possible to temporary fill in for people on vacation or sick leave. After you go back to work, flexible work schedules and help with the organization of child care further promote the Work-life balance.
YEP! Youth Exchange Program
As part of our Youth Exchange Program, YEP!, we have created a great opportunity for children of DPDHL employees between the ages of 15 and 18 to discover the world.
With the YEP! Summer Weeks program, young people from Germany can spend four weeks at a DHL branch in Brazil, Chile, Mexico or the U.S. In exchange, children of employees from these countries will come over to spend four weeks with families of DHL employees in Germany.
Youth who would like to spend more time in another country can apply for YEP!’s School Year Abroad program. Participants spend one year abroad living with the family of a DHL employee and attend school there. Youth can choose from the same countries as the ones in the YEP! Summer Weeks program.
Deutsche Post covers the costs for YEP!
