What we achieved
in the first quarter of 2013

Deutsche Post DHL achieved a satisfactory result in the first three months of 2013 in keeping with our expectations. Revenue increased slightly and earnings growth was somewhat more significant. In the MAIL division, our parcel business demonstrated sustained dynamic growth whilst DHL’s EXPRESS and SUPPLY CHAIN divisions also continued to grow. Earnings for the GLOBAL FORWARDING, FREIGHT division were maintained at a stable level in softening market.

What we intend to achieve
by the end of the year

We continue to expect consolidated EBIT to reach between €2.7 billion and €2.95 billion in financial year 2013. The MAIL division is likely to contribute between €1.1 billion and €1.2 billion to this figure. Compared with the previous year, we expect an additional improvement in overall earnings to between €2.0 billion and €2.15 billion in the DHL divisions. In 2013, operating cash flow will recover from the one-time charges in the previous year and benefit from expected earnings improvement.

The AGM for financial year 2012 will be held on May 29, 2013 in Frankfurt/Main (Jahrhunderthalle), Germany. The dividend payment will be on May 30, 2013.
