Deutsche Post DHL boosts operating profit in the first quarter of 2013
During the first quarter of 2013, Deutsche Post DHL built on its successful performance of last year. In a business environment characterized by persistent economic challenges, the world's leading postal and logistics group increased revenues by 0.6 percent to EUR 13.4 billion in the first three months of the year compared with the same period last year. The Group improved its operating earnings once again: At EUR 711 million, EBIT produced during the first quarter rose EUR 20 million above the level generated in the same period last year. The development of the consolidated net profit was even more pronounced: Net income adjusted for last year's one-time effects related to the final Postbank transaction jumped by 45 percent to nearly EUR 500 million.

Deutsche Post DHL remains on growth track - earnings guidance for 2012 fulfilled
Deutsche Post DHL, the world's leading postal and logistics group, is looking back on a successful 2012. Group revenues increased 5.1 percent to EUR 55.5 billion during the 12-month period. The excellent position that the Group and its divisions maintain in the most dynamic markets also led to a strong rise in the company's profitability last year. At EUR 2.67 billion, operating earnings finished the year within the announced target corridor of EUR 2.6 billion to EUR 2.7 billion and were more than 9 percent above the previous year's level. The Group's consolidated net profit climbed by about EUR 500 million to EUR 1.66 billion in 2012.

Deutsche Post DHL confirms 2012 earnings guidance in a volatile environment
Deutsche Post DHL continued to increase its revenues during the third quarter: at EUR 13.8 billion, revenues generated between July and September climbed 5.7 percent above the previous year's level. In addition to favorable exchange-rate effects, this increase also reflects the ongoing organic revenue growth produced by all three DHL divisions. These businesses continue to benefit from their strong market position in the world's growth markets - particularly in Asia. As a result, the profit of the logistics division as a whole continued to increase. The company's parcel business, an area that is generating a growing share of revenue in the MAIL division, remained dynamic. At EUR 13.7 billion, revenues generated between April and June rose 7.3 percent above the previous year's level. Deutsche Post DHL generates double-digit earnings growth in 2011 - higher dividend proposed
Deutsche Post DHL had a very successful fiscal year 2011, having generated significant gains in both revenues and earnings. Compared with the previous year, Group revenues rose by 2.8 percent to EUR 52.8 billion. Adjusted for exchange-rate and consolidation effects, the company's revenues climbed even more steeply at 5.3 percent. At more than EUR 2.4 billion, the Group's operating earnings were almost one-third higher than the previous year's level, reaching the earnings guidance that the company increased twice during 2011. Consolidated net profit totaled EUR 1.2 billion in the past fiscal year. Excluding the valuation effects related to the Postbank sale, this amounts to a rise of more than 50 percent year on year.

One of the key components in unlocking the Group's potential is the IndEx program aimed at taking at least 1 billion euros out of 7 billion euros in indirect costs at the corporate functions and the Corporate Divisions.
