Deutsche Post DHL drives ahead with growth in the first quarter of 2012 - Group posts further revenue and earnings increases
The Group continued its strong performance from last year in the first quarter of 2012 and remains on its successful growth path. Group revenues rose by 4.3 percent compared with the same quarter last year, reaching EUR 13.4 billion. Thanks to further profitability improvements in all divisions, the Group's operating result rose above average in the first quarter: EBIT climbed by 9.9 percent to EUR 691 million. During the same period the company's consolidated net profit improved to EUR 533 million.

Deutsche Post DHL generates double-digit earnings growth in 2011 - higher dividend proposed
Deutsche Post DHL had a very successful fiscal year 2011, having generated significant gains in both revenues and earnings. Compared with the previous year, Group revenues rose by 2.8 percent to EUR 52.8 billion. Adjusted for exchange-rate and consolidation effects, the company's revenues climbed even more steeply at 5.3 percent. At more than EUR 2.4 billion, the Group's operating earnings were almost one-third higher than the previous year's level, reaching the earnings guidance that the company increased twice during 2011. Consolidated net profit totaled EUR 1.2 billion in the past fiscal year. Excluding the valuation effects related to the Postbank sale, this amounts to a rise of more than 50 percent year on year.

Deutsche Post DHL remains on growth path - full-year earnings guidance increased
Deutsche Post DHL boosted revenues and significantly improved its profitability in the third quarter of 2011. Compared with the previous year, Group revenues increased by 2.5 percent to EUR 13.1 billion between July and September. Adjusted for exchange-rate and consolidation effects, the upward trend was even more pronounced: revenues increased by 5.7 percent and continued the high growth level achieved in the first half of the year.

Jürgen Gerdes, the Board of Management member at Deutsche Post DHL who oversees the MAIL division and thus the parcel business in Germany: "Our goal is clear: Parcels should be delivered as fast as letters. As part of our Parcel Concept 2012, we will invest EUR 750 million in the continued modernization of the German parcel business in coming years."
