Process costs: Considerable savings possible
The electronic letter, the "E-Postbrief", considerably reduces costs for postal handling. Companies and administrations can reduce their total mail logistics costs by up to 60 per cent.
Business customers can achieve long-term savings with the help of "E-Postbrief". On the one hand, they benefit from the binding nature and confidentiality standard of "E-Postbrief", and on the other hand they can improve customer service or citizens' service due to faster throughput times. A key benefit, however, is the reduction in process costs. In the mail logistics process of companies and administrations, these often exceed actual postage costs. In a manual or semi-automated postal process, process costs constitute up to 70 per cent of total costs.
Utilizing the digital potential
The "E-Postbrief" is the ideal prerequisite to fully digitally map communications processes within companies and administrations. The advantages are obvious: Electronic routes are always faster than physical transportation, and electronic documents can be simultaneously edited at different locations. "E-Postbrief" is therefore a key module en route to digitalizing communications processes.
The cost savings that companies and administrations can achieve with the "E-Postbrief" in their mail logistics process are huge: The new electronic communications medium can save 70 to 90 per cent of the process costs that used to be incurred in manual or semi-automated postal handling. If you add the postage, which is also incurred with the "E-Postbrief", the net savings potential still amounts to 30 to 60 per cent.
Using additional functions
With the integration of value-added functions, business customers can also optimize their customer service while reducing process costs at the same time. Examples of such value-added service include one-click payment or form management. In this way, offers can be sent with an integrated order and payment function. The recipient initiates the order and payment process conveniently at the click of a mouse button. Such a payment function can also be integrated into invoices. Electronic forms with integrated check functions considerably increase the data quality in business and public authority communication. Recipients also benefit from pre-completed forms because they do not need to re-enter personal data every time.
Document management becomes increasingly the focus of companies and administrations because this area offers considerable savings and optimization potential. With the "E-Postbrief", companies and administrations can design their processes more efficiently and thus increase the quality of communication addressed to the customer, the market or the supplier. Efficient and transparent internal processes are not merely more cost-efficient: Short response and throughput times also improve customer service, because the response time is a critical success factor for customer satisfaction and, consequently, customer loyalty.
