Deutsche Post's healthcare management again receives an award
Deutsche Post once again number one in the corporate ranking
Bonn, 10/06/2006, 11:30 AM CESTOf the major companies in Germany, Deutsche Post World Net has the best healthcare management - and it is the second time in a row that it has received this accolade. That is the result of a study commissioned by the business newspaper "Handelsblatt". Criteria for the assessment of companies' healthcare management schemes included, among other things, staff involvement, the active support provided by executives, the meshing with corporate values, provision of the necessary resources and regular reviewing of measures.
Company healthcare management is becoming increasingly important in many large companies. Deutsche Post has established a management system which it uses to systematically and permanently promote safety and health for its employees.
Walter Scheurle, the Board Member for Personnel at Deutsche Post World Net, commented as follows on the fact that the company had again won the award: "Ensuring the well-being of its staff has always been an important issue for Deutsche Post. The Group depends on healthy, motivated and qualified employees. The fact that, according to an independent study, we are the German company with the best healthcare management confirms to us that the path we have chosen is the right one."
