- Apr 05, 2006: DHL Lowers the Price for Small Packets
DHL lowers price on national small packets in Germany
Customers save almost ten percent
Bonn, 04/05/2006, 11:30 AM CESTStarting May 4, 2006, a small packet will cost only EUR 3.90 instead of EUR 4.30. With this move, Deutsche Post World Net's express and logistics specialist is lowering the price for national small packets weighing up to two kilograms by almost ten percent. The new postage stamp for small packets is available with the "Feuerlilie" ("tiger lily") motif at retail outlets.
DHL is also lowering the price on PLUSPÄCKCHEN (small packet packaging and postage in one). With this product, shipments of up to 20 kilograms can now be sent to anywhere in Germany for EUR 5.99.
"With these pricing measures we expect an even higher acceptance on the market and a strengthening of our position in private customer business," says Peter E. Kruse, Board member of DHL Express Europe.
Starting June 1, 2006, customers will also be able to purchase small packet stamps from DHL PACKSTATION. The PACKSTATION is available to customers all week long around the clock.
The small packet prices for international shipping will remain unchanged: Shipments within Europe will continue to be offered for EUR 8.60 Euro and shipping small packets worldwide for EUR 12.90.
