DHL takes market lead in StartDay and MidDay Express services
DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, has launched a new service by 12:00 second day for non-dutiable shipments to major cities and business centers in ten Asia Pacific countries. DHL MidDay Express is now also available for import shipments to Europe from Asia Pacific. DHL is the first express company to offer this service on a huge scale."DHL customers are increasingly looking for morning deliveries of their time-sensitive shipments to Asia. This new service offers a unique connection between more than 100 cities in 22 European countries and the business centers of Asia Pacific," said Bill Blomquist, Director of Marketing & Sales, DHL Express Europe.As of 1 March 2006 DHL further extends the range of TimeDefinite Deliveries to and from Asia Pacific. DHL StartDay Express service, offering delivery before 9 a.m., will then be available to five major Asian cities (Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok and Taipei).Also within Europe DHL greatly enhanced services for TimeDefinite Deliveries. DHL StartDay Express and MidDay Express services offer money back guaranteed door-to-door delivery before 9:00 and 12 noon respectively. With this latest expansion DHL now covers 72 percent of business addresses across Europe. For Germany DHL reaches an almost nationwide coverage for deliveries by 12:00 into and within the country."The latest development of TimeDefinite Deliveries brings our service levels to new heights and surpasses our competitors.
