Top grades for group's Internet career pages
Study ranks Deutsche Post World Net ahead of Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey
Bonn, 02/17/2006, 10:30 AM CETDeutsche Post World Net offers the best Internet career pages to students and graduates looking for a suitable entry-level position, according to a new study by management consultants at Potentialpark. For this study, 1,429 high potentials and job entrants had rated the career pages of a total 104 companies. Deutsche Post World Net was ranked first ahead of Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey.
Deutsche Post World Net obtained special praise in the categories user friendliness, company presentation and application process. The group's online self-assessment tests were considered a special bonus: By answering real-life questions and completing practical tasks, applicants can explore their career potential and test their intercultural skills.
"Internet career pages are emerging as a key recruiting instrument. We want to offer potential applicants both detailed information and ease-of-use. Excellent career pages are an excellent starting point for recruiting the most talented employees," says Rainer Schulze, Director Personnel Marketing and Employee Development at Deutsche Post World Net.
Since the new website went live in July 2005, the number of online applications has risen significantly. Online applications make application processing as efficient as possible and speed up responses. "And, of course, applicants who wish to submit a highly individual application can continue to use the conventional channel," explains Rainer Schulze.
