DHL reaps the benefits from B2C transport for industry
Nationwide DHL network helps advertisers to reach end-customers
Stockholm, 05/08/2008, 11:30 AM CEST
DHL's investment in the consumer market has begun to bear fruit. As more and more Swedes are starting to get to know and use DHL's 1,300 posting and collection points, interest is also growing among mainstream B2C suppliers.
One example is CeTeL Cargo Management, which uses SERVICE POINT to provide advertising agencies like Ratius with direct deliveries to end-customers.
DHL Express is continuing to invest in the consumer market. In a short time, the company has established a nationwide network of almost 1,300 posting and collection points, with ICA, Pressbyrå and 7-Eleven stores making up substantial parts of the network.
In a parallel initiative, DHL Express is helping businesses with deliveries to private individuals; a good example of this is the Märsta-based CeTeL Cargo Management, a company serving the printing industry.
CeTeL can help customers with deliveries direct to their end-customers
"Our operation aims to act as the transport and logistics department for the advertising and printing sector, which means that we have complete authority to choose the right transport solutions for our customers. And DHL SERVICE POINT has enabled us to expand our service to the point where we can help customers with deliveries direct to their end-customers in connection with major advertising campaigns", says Joakim Ejander, CEO of CeTeL Cargo Management.
Among other things, CeTeL has used SERVICE POINT to provide the advertising agency Ratius with direct deliveries to private individuals. Ratius focuses mainly on exhibition and event marketing and provides solutions in the field of trade fair display design, profiled outdoor products including decor, text and images, and of course storage, administration and distribution of exhibition material.
DHL has already concluded a cooperation agreement with Tradera.com
The investment by DHL Express in the consumer market under the SERVICE POINT banner can be split into two main areas: consumer-to-consumer (C2C) and business-to-consumer (B2C). On the C2C side, for example, DHL has already concluded a cooperation agreement with Sweden's largest auction site, Tradera, which has around 1.2 million customers. For B2C, the aim is to offer companies all over the country simple and improved transport options.
