DHL recognized as "Best International Courier Service"

DHL announced today that it has been recognized as the "Best International Courier Service" in the U.S. and worldwide by the readers of Business Traveler magazine, the world's leading publication geared towards frequent business travelers.

DHL has received the distinction for the third consecutive year based on a survey of Business Traveler readers.

"As a specialist in international services, we understand and appreciate the challenges of doing business on a global scale," said Charles Brewer, Executive Vice President of Commercial, for DHL Express. "We are delighted that the most seasoned business travelers have recognized DHL as the best option for international shipping in the U.S. and around the world."

The Business Traveler magazine annual survey of business traveler preferences examines 49 categories including hotels, airlines, car rental and luggage companies. Four-thousand Business Traveler subscribers were randomly selected to participate in the survey with entries received by September 15, 2008. The annual survey consists solely of open ended questions without mention of provider company names. The Business Traveler awards were presented at a gala event in Los Angeles, CA on December 11, 2008.

As announced on November 10, 2008, DHL U.S. Express is focusing its business on its leading International products, services, and capabilities. International shippers to and from the U.S. market will benefit from enhanced DHL service offerings to and from the U.S. including the latest pickup and the earliest delivery times into and out of many U.S. major metropolitan areas.

In 2009, DHL plans to introduce a new Economy Select International service, its first deferred international (day definite shipping) product for U.S. customers, as well as inbound and outbound International Express products, offering 9AM and 12 noon delivery to select destinations internationally.
