2010
January
- 01/14/2010: Deutsche Post DHL sent in the first logistics team for on-the-ground logistics support to the international relief effort in Haiti. The DHL Disaster Response Team (DRT) Americas is preparing to operate out of Toussaint L'ouverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince to manage the logistics and thereby ensure the continuous flow of inbound freight at the airport, including the transfer and distribution of incoming relief goods, once roads are stable.
March
- 03/31/2010: DHL Express registered eleven Boeing B757 Freighter aircraft with its newly formed Leipzig-based cargo airline European Air Transport (EAT) GmbH. This follows the granting of the operating license by the German Aviation Authority (LBA). The license completes the move of DHL's European aviation operations from Brussels to Leipzig that started in November 2007.
April
- 04/23/2010: To further increase customer satisfaction, Deutsche Post is set to increase the availablity of points of sale, letterboxes and Packstations.
- 04/26/2010: Deutsche Post DHL realeased its Corporate Responsibility Report 2009/2010 with good results: The Group improved its Carbon Efficiency Index by three points, handled around 1,300 tons of relief supplies during a large number of missions carried out in earthquake-stricken areas and managed to increase the number of GoGreen shipments from 145 to 700 million.
- 04/28/2010: A dividend per share of €0.90 for financial year 2009 is distributed.
May
- 05/11/2010: The Group made a successful start to 2010: Deutsche Post DHL increases underlying EBIT by over 80% and expects results for the full year 2010 to be at the upper end of the forecast range of €1.6 billion to €1.9 billion.
July
- 07/01/2010: Deutsche Post transfers a further 277 retail outlets across Germany to Postbank. On behalf of Deutsche Post, Postbank will in future offer postal services related to letters and parcels.
- 07/14/2010: Deutsche Post launches the online letter ("E-Postbrief"). The "E-Postbrief" allows private individuals, companies and public authorities to communicate securely with each other on the Internet. CEO Frank Appel: "We're making secure written communication on the Internet possible for everyone - this is a revolution".
August
- 08/03/2010: Due to the successful performance in the first half of the year and better than expected development, particularly at DHL, Deutsche Post DHL raises its earnings forecast for the full year 2010. The company now expects underlying EBIT to be between €1.9 billion and €2.1 billion.
- 08/24/2010: Deutsche Post consolidates involvement in online advertising market and acquires nugg.ad AG. With this investment in the leading targeting technology, the Group has consolidated new areas of growth in online marketing.
September
- 09/21/2010: Nepal is next to benefit from the disaster preparedness program launched 2009 by Deutsche Post DHL and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The so-called "Get Airports Ready for Disaster" program (GARD) aims to prepare airports and staff in disaster prone areas to cope with the impact of a natural catastrophe and to efficiently deal with the logistics during relief efforts.
- 09/29/2010: Deutsche Post DHL has been listed again in the leading capital market indices: Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index and FTSE4 Good Global Index.
October
- 10/13/2010: Deutsche Post DHL unveils a new study on green business trends. The pursuit of sustainability will transform the logistics industry, both in terms of its business model as well as the range of advanced solutions and technologies that will be used by logistics service providers. This is one conclusion drawn by the study "Delivering Tomorrow: Towards Sustainable Logistics".
- 10/27/2010: Deutsche Post decides to reduce prices of international postal products on 1 January 2011.
- 10/29/2010: The results of Kundenmonitor 2010, one of Germany's largest independent consumer studies, show that 93% of customers are satisfied or completely satisfied with Deutsche Post's services.
November
- 11/03/2010: Almost sixteen weeks after the official market launch of Deutsche Post’s E-Postbrief, one million customers have already reserved their personal E-Postbrief address. After the great success amongst consumers, the E-Postbrief is now also available for small and medium-sized enterprises.
- 11/09/2010: The Group raises its full-year forecast again. After the successful performance in the first nine months underlying EBIT for financial year 2010 is expected to be between €2.0 billion and €2.1 billion.
- 11/17/2010: Deutsche Post DHL and Teach For All launch global partnership. The main focus of the joint activities is the expansion of the existing national Teach For All organizations in Argentina, Chile, Peru and India.
December
- 12/14/2010: Deutsche Post DHL and UN OCHA extend humanitarian partnership. Deutsche Post DHL assists in the handling and storing of relief cargo at airports in disaster regions.
- 12/20/2010: Deutsche Post DHL sends about a billion GoGreen shipments of letters, parcels and express deliveries a year.

- 01/14/2009: Deutsche Bank AG and Deutsche Post AG have agreed on an improved transaction structure for Deutsche Bank's acquisition of Deutsche Postbank AG shares based on the previous purchase price

February
- 02/18/2008: Frank Appel is appointed as new chairman of the Board of Management.
March
- 03/04/2008: The LOGISTICS Division is dissolved and split between two board departments. Bruce Edwards becomes the new Board member in charge of the SUPPLY CHAIN/CIS Division and Hermann Ude the new Board member in charge of the GLOBAL FORWARDING/FREIGHT Division.
April
- 04/01/2008: The Group sells a portfolio of approximately 1,300 properties located mainly in Germany to US investor Lone Star for €1 billion in cash.
- 04/08/2008: Deutsche Post World Net – the largest player in its industry – sets itself a measurable climate protection target. For every letter posted, every container shipped and every square metre of space used, the Group aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 30% below 2007 levels by 2020.
- 04/30/2008: During their collective-bargaining negotiations, Deutsche Post AG and the service trade union Verdi agree on an extended job security pact, a pay increase for staff covered by the collective-bargaining agreement and additional weekly working hours for about 130,000 company employees.

- 05/06/2008: Annual General Meeting 2008: Acting in his new role as chief executive officer, Frank Appel held his debut presentation in front of around 3,500 shareholders
- 05/26/2008: European air freight hub at Leipzig/Halle Airport launches operations. The Group invested around €300 million in the facility where approximately 1,500 tonnes of freight are transhipped each working day.

- 06/30/2008: Deutsche Post World Net issues new Sustainability Report
July
- 07/01/2008: The European Court of First Instance annuls a decision by the European Commission, which had ordered Deutsche Post to repay purported state aid.
September
- 09/12/2008: Deutsche Post agreed to sell a minority stake in Postbank to Deutsche Bank.
November
- 11/10/2008: Deutsche Post World Net announces that it will exit the domestic express business in the USA by the beginning of 2009. The international express offering in the United States will be maintained.

January
- 01/26/2007: DHL is the first international logistics service provider to offer a domestic air freight service in China
February
- 02/18/2007: DHL announces plans to substantially expand capacities in Dubai where the first fully integrated logistics platform and the world’s largest airport are taking shape.
March
- 03/27/2007: The DHL Innovation Center is opened in Troisdorf near Bonn, Germany. It is here that the Group brings together all entities entrusted with managing technical innovations

- 05/08/2007: The Annual General Meeting approves a dividend of €0.75 per share for 2006, which represents a 7.1% increase on the previous year
- 05/24/2007: DHL expands its joint venture with India’s Lemuir Group, thereby consolidating its leading position on the Indian logistics market
June
- 06/19/2007: Deutsche Post plans to open around 600 outlets in the new Postpoint format in Germany.
- 06/28/2007: Deutsche Post World Net acquires a 49% stake in the US air transport company ASTAR Air Cargo
September
- 09/14/2007: John Allan becomes Chief Financial Officer, Dr Frank Appel Board member responsible for the LOGISTICS Division
- 09/20/2007: DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo set up the joint air freight carrier AeroLogic, with flight operations set to begin in April 2009

- 05/10/2006: The Annual General Meeting approves a dividend of €0.70 per share for 2005, which represents a 40% increase on the previous year and more than one-third of consolidated net profit. The Supervisory Board elects Dr. Jürgen Weber as its new Chairman
- 05/13/2006: Deutsche Post AG and ver.di agree to a 3% increase in wages and salaries to be implemented between November 2006 and October 2007, and a further 2.5% by April 2008
- 05/22/2006: DHL signs a seven-year agreement to become the leading logistics supplier for the parts supply chain of the international IT specialist Unisys

- 07/11/2006: Deutsche Post World Net joins the UN Global Compact which works to promote globalization in line with social and environmental principles
- 07/12/2006: KfW Bankengruppe sells 63.6 million Deutsche Post shares. Including the greenshoe, this transaction increases the number of freely tradeable shares by 73.1 million and the share of Deutsche Post stock in free float from 58% to 65.9%
September
- 09/22/2006: Alignment and strengthening of the global management structure: All Air-, Sea- and Road-Cargo forwarding businesses will be grouped within the Logistics division.
- 09/28/2006: Deutsche Post World Net subsidiary Williams Lea opens state-of-the-art mail and document solutions facility in the UK

- 10/16/2006: DHL acquires a 49% interest in Polar Air Cargo Worldwide. The agreement signed has a term of 20 years and guarantees DHL long-term access to air freight capacities on trans-Pacific routes

- 11/14/2006: DHL Exel Supply Chain offers a new service in Australia for direct deliveries to pharmacies so that people living in even the remotest areas can be provided with pharmaceuticals within 24 hours
December
- 12/12/2006: Deutsche Post has come to an agreement with the trade union ver.di for the transfer of its Parcel Germany business from the EXPRESS to the MAIL Corporate Division.
