Deutsche Post DHL's corporate website ranked number 2 among the 500 largest companies in Europe
- www.dp-dhl.com best German company website
- www.dhl.com among the top 25 websites in a global ranking
The Group website dp-dhl.com is the best website in Germany and the second best in Europe. That was the result of a study conducted by Hallvarsson & Halvarsson (H&H), a Swedish agency who has evaluated the best European websites fourteen times in a row now. In advance of the study, H&H asked analysts, investors and journalists about their expectations for company websites, with questions based on 127 individual criteria. The agency then examined the internet presences of 500 of the largest listed companies in Europe, scrutinizing such aspects as design and technology as well as informational content and interactivity.
Marcus Eriksson of Hallvarsson & Halvarsson commented on the results, saying, "Deutsche Post DHL continues to improve its website with user-friendly functions and loads of information. The press section and the calendar are two good examples of features that are continually updated. They also dedicate one section to address logistics topics and trends. By doing so they have positioned themselves as an authority in the field."
dhl.com served up good results, too
Furthermore, the DHL website www.dhl.com, which was overhauled last year, served up good results in a global ranking. In the current "best of" list published by the American company Byte Level Research, dhl.com was ranked among the top 25 company websites in the world. For the evaluation, 250 internet sites of leading companies around the world were evaluated for such things as the number of languages supported, ease of finding contents or consistency in look and feel.
In the "delivery services" category, dhl.com was rated the best website. "Companies don't make it into the top 25 by accident," stressed John Yunker, founder of the research, training and consulting company Byte Level Research. "A concerted and sustained investment is required. And the recent changes to DHL's Internet presence did not go unnoticed by us."
