To meet our customers' needs we are offering a growing portfolio of green products and services. Focussing on the main impact of our business, the so-called GoGreen products and services include everything from Carbon Reports to Green Optimization or Carbon Neutral Services.

Offsetting emissions with Carbon Neutral products and services
With Carbon Neutral products and services we offset our customers' CO2 emissions generated by the transport of their shipments through officially recognized climate protection projects. Business customers receive an annual certificate documenting the total amount of carbon offset. When selecting the climate protection projects we rely on high quality standards - for a better climate.
The number of carbon-neutral mail, parcel and express shipments in the reporting year increased to about 2.42 billion (previous year: 1.86 billion); this represents a 30 % rise over the previous year's figures. For those shipments and the GoGreen customers of DHL Global Forwarding / DHL Freight and DHL Supply Chain, a total of 179,898 tonnes of carbon were offset. SGS Verification Statement
Carbon Report
CO2 transparency along the supply chain
The product Carbon Report provides business customers with an individual report of their CO2 emissions generated by their Deutsche Post DHL transports. Though relatively new, this product is increasingly popular across all of our divisions, demonstrating the growing environmental awareness among our customers.
We offer an additional reporting product for our customers in the GLOBAL FORWARDING, FREIGHT division - the "Carbon Dashboard" - an online version of the Carbon Report. The product's special simulation feature helps customers understand the relationship between their carbon footprint and their choices of transport mode and product type.
In 2012 we focused on the Group-wide standardization of the calculation base for our Carbon Reports. The standards used by our divisions are now the same as those used for the calculation of our own carbon emissions. The calculation method and tools used in the EXPRESS and GLOBAL FORWARDING, FREIGHT divisions are verified based on the principles of ISO 14064 since 2011.

Green Optimization along the entire supply chain
With a focus on our customers' supply chains, our Green Optimization services draw on extensive expertise in the area of carbon efficiency improvement to identify measures along their supply chains with the greatest carbon reducing potential. We also implement the solutions once selected.
