Our philosophy
With about 500,000 employees, Deutsche Post DHL is the world's leading logistics company and one of the main players in global trade. In today's global economy with its division of labor, logistics ensures the flow of goods and information. This is the foundation of economic success, employment and prosperity.
As a global company, we are faced with the delicate balance between economic, environmental and social interests. We therefore have a responsibility toward society, the environment and our employees, and we take a proactive approach to fulfilling this responsibility.
Corporate Responsibility is an integral part of our corporate strategy 2015, which is geared towards long-term success. For us, Corporate Responsibility means the company's respectful and sustainable approach in handling assets entrusted to us as well as in upholding the interests of our employees, the environment, and society. Our activities rely on our global presence as well as on the knowledge, experience and commitment of our employees in local markets around the world.
Our principle of "Respect and Results" guides both our corporation as a whole and each of our employees in every action they take. We respect people and the environment in which we live. We measure the success of our actions, and we report our results in a transparent manner to create the basis for an open dialog with all interest groups. Our corporate Code of Conduct outlines binding rules and shows our respect for global standards regarding human rights, core work standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.

We minimize the impact of our actions on the environment by using resources in a responsible manner - by means of efficient transportation and logistic solutions, energy-saving technology, new and environmentally friendly products and services as well as motivated employees.
Special attention is paid to energy efficiency and active climate protection. We plan to improve our carbon efficiency in all areas by 30 percent from 2007 levels by the year 2020. This will help us lower our energy costs and give us a competitive edge in markets with an ever increasing number of environmentally and climate-conscious consumers. - GoHelp - Helping people

Together with our partners, we strive to improve people's living conditions. Our core logistics expertise helps us achieve these goals. We partner with the United Nations to provide effective emergency aid in areas affected by natural disasters and organize training programs in regions at risk to prepare for logistics challenges in emergencies.
Furthermore, we encourage our employees to participate in numerous local initiatives. This helps boost their motivation and has a positive effect on our company's brand.
