Deutsche Post DHL's online publications have been optimised for use with the following internet browsers: Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8, Mozilla Firefox 3, Safari 3 and Opera 9. Parts of the reports have been enriched with functions requiring Java Script and Flash 8 or later.

 

Navigation

There are five ways to navigate through the reports.

 

  1. Main menu (horizontal navigation): You can access the contents of the first menu level (chapters) via the four grey tabs at the top of the screen. You can navigate within the contents of
    the second level via the submenu.
  2. Submenu: You can navigate within the contents of the first menu level using the icons on the left of the screen. Clicking on a topic opens a menu, which can be used to select the contents of the second menu level. Third-level contents are indented and can also be accessed using the icons on the left of the screen.
  3. Service menu: The service menu at the top of the screen allows you to change the internal links text size* and internal links search* for information. It provides direct access to the main page, the internal links Downloads and to internal links My cart*. The service menu is completed with the internal links ‘print page' and internal links ‘recommend page'* functions at the right of the screen. The service menu is available on every page.

  4. References: Internal and external references are available under ‘further information' on the right of the screen. Internal links are marked internal links and external ones external links.
  5. Footer navigation: The bottom of the screen contains references to legal information, editorial information, the data protection declaration, the sitemap, the Investor Relations contact page and a Feedback function. The sitemap shows the overall structure of the online publications and is where each page can be access directly.

 

Search

The search field in the service menu at the top of the screen allows you to use the publication's internal search engine. You only have to enter the term you are looking for in the search field. The hits shown for the term will be listed according to relevance in descending order and the term entered will be highlighted. 

 

Downloads

The download area of online publications can be accessed via ‘download' in the service menu at the top of the screen. Here you can download PDF versions of the entire publication, individual chapters and single pages.You need arrowAdobe Acrobat Reader to be able to use the PDF files. The document's most important tables are also available as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The figures in Excel are shown according to your computer's country settings. Clicking on (symbol PDF orsymbol XLS) after the description opens the corresponding document in a new browser window, from where it can be saved. You can also select several documents at once and then download them together as a ZIP file. You can also download PNG and TIFF versions of all the graphics and photographs as a ZIP file. If Java Script is deactivated, files available for downloading are not separated into documents, tables and graphics but are displayed below each other in a list. Clicking on one of the four terms (Documents | Tables | Graphics | Images) takes you directly to the corresponding part of the list.

The text size can be changed. At the top of the page there are three A symbols of various size to enlarge, reduce and reset the text size. This function is available on every page.

Wide images and tables are shown in reduced size and can be enlarged by clicking on the magnifying glass. The image or table is shown enlarged in a light box. The image can be printed out by clicking on the print icon in the new window.

 

Print page Printing

Every page has a print function. Clicking on the print icon opens a separate browser window containing a preview of the page for printing (without navigation icons and other browser components). You can now print out the page with or without images. Confirm your selection by clicking on the print icon in the new browser window.

 

Saving a PDF version Saving a PDF version

You can save the contents of every page on to your computer as a PDF file by clicking on the PDF icon on the right of the screen. This opens a separate browser window showing the PDF version. You can save the file on to your computer using the save function.

 

Recommend page Recommend page

Clicking on this icon opens an e-mail form from your e-mail program containing a link to the contents of the currently-opened window. Add the e-mail recipient and some text, if applicable.

My cart Add to shopping basket

Using the My cart function you can compile the contents of the online publications as you wish. You can use My cart to collect contents. After you have confirmed your selection, a PDF document is generated that you can save on to your computer. You can view, download and delete the selected contents via My cart at the top of the screen.
