Corporate Center/Other
The Group management functions are performed by the Corporate Center. The collective segment comprises Global Business Services (GBS), the Corporate Center, non-operating activities and other business activities. The profit/loss generated by GBS is allocated to the other operating segments, whilst its assets and liabilities remain with GBS (asymmetrical allocation).

Discontinued Operations
The Deutsche Postbank Group is reported as a discontinued operation for the months of January and February 2009 and for the previous year. Effective March 2009, the remaining shares are disclosed under investments in associates and the net income from associates is reported in the column entitled "Corporate Center/Other".
