Strategy

 

The "5 To Thrive" programme transforms into "Growth Through Excellence". During the last year, Supply Chain's "5 to Thrive" programme led to significant operational and financial improvements − despite economic conditions. With a gradual recovery likely in 2010, the company also wanted to prepare for growth opportunities presented moving forward. This is why the "5 to Thrive" programme has been further developed into a new profitable growth strategy called "Growth Through Excellence".

The new "Growth Through Excellence" strategy will guide us in profitability (achieving financial targets earlier and significantly increasing gain share) and in continuous improvement (improving customer service and focusing on operational excellence).

Growth Through Excellence comprises six key programs. In summation, Supply Chain's two major strategic pillars are:

1. Continuous Improvement of our existing business.
2. Profitable Growth by growing the business along our most important market verticals and solutions.
