Deutsche Post DHL’s online publications have been optimised for use with the following internet browsers: Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8, Mozilla Firefox 3, Safari 3 and Opera 9. Some of the reports have been enriched with functions requiring Java Script and Flash 8 or later.
There are six ways to navigate through the reports.
Main menu (horizontal navigation): You can access the contents of the first menu level (chapters) via the three grey tabs at the top of the screen. You can navigate within the contents of the second level via the submenu.
icons at the top and bottom right of the text.
The search field in the service menu at the top of the screen allows you to use the publication’s internal search engine. You only have to enter the term you are looking for in the search field. The hits shown for the term will be listed in descending order according to relevance and the term entered will be highlighted. Additionally, you can use a search-or-jump function that is linked to the search field. This function provides you with a prepared list of terms that can be activated by clicking the search field. The terms are linked directly to the relevant document pages.
Java Script is required for this function.
The interim report is available in two languages (German and English). To switch between the German and English pages, click on the Deutsch or „English“ icons in the service menu at the top of the screen. This function is available on every page.
The download area of online publications can be accessed via ‘download’ in the service menu at the top of the screen. Here you can download PDF versions of the entire publication, individual
chapters and single pages. You need
Adobe Acrobat
Reader to be able to use the PDF files. The document’s most important tables are also available as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The figures in
Excel are shown according to your computer’s country settings.
You can also add the different files into a ZIP archive and then
download it to retrieve the individual files. Click on "show collection"
to see an overview of your selected files. To remove files from the
list, click on "
remove from ZIP archive". To create the final ZIP file, click on "create ZIP archive" on the right-hand side of the screen.
To open ZIP archives you need any extraction utility that supports the zip format.
You may use the software
7-ZIP which you can download for free from the producer´s website.
You can also download PNG and TIFF versions of all the graphics and photographs as a ZIP file. If Java Script is deactivated, files available for downloading are not separated into documents, tables and graphics but are displayed below each other in a list. Clicking on one of the three terms (Documents | Tables | Graphics) takes you directly to the corresponding part of the list.
Every page has a print function. Clicking on the print icon opens a separate browser window containing a preview of the page for printing (without navigation icons and other browser components). You can now print out the page with or without images. Confirm your selection by clicking on the print icon in the new browser window.
With the key figure comparison you can view the development of the Group’s key figures from 2002 to 2009. The following key figure groups are available: key income figures, key share figures, employee/staff costs, cash flow/investments/write-downs as well as asset and capital structure. Then select how you would like to view the information: table, bar chart, line diagram.

You can save the contents of every page on to your computer as a PDF file by clicking on the PDF icon at the bottom of the screen. This opens a separate browser window showing the PDF version. You can save the file on to your computer using the save function. This function is not available on the
downloads page,
in the
shopping basket, on the site map, in the search results, the key figure comparison and on this help page.
Clicking on this icon opens an e-mail form from your e-mail program containing a link to the contents of the currently-opened window. Add the e-mail recipient and some text, if applicable. This function requires Java Script and is not available on the site map and the key figure comparison.
Wide images and tables are shown in reduced size and can be enlarged by clicking on the magnifying glass. The image or table is shown in a new browser window in its original size. The image can be printed out by clicking on the print icon in the new window.
